Hi, I'm Jason Nallas
I am an AODA certified (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) UI/UX Designer with 9 years of global experience in the field of Graphic Design. My passion for design has led me to specialize in user experience research and design. I have worked with clients from a variety of industries, helping them to improve their digital products and services. Whether it's conducting user research, creating wireframes, or designing high-fidelity prototypes, I love the challenge of creating products that are both beautiful and functional.

How I got started in UX
My journey in UX began when I was working as a graphic designer. I realized that design is not just about making things look good, but about solving problems for people. I started learning about user-centered design and conducting user research, and I was hooked. I pursued my studies at York University and took up formal education for UX Design. Since then, I have been honing my skills in UX, working with clients to create products that meet the needs of their users.

What I'm curious about
I have worked on a variety of UX projects, from redesigning an app feature for TeamCarts as well as conducting user research for AppleTV+
I'm always looking for new challenges and opportunities to learn. Some areas that I'm currently interested in exploring include the impact of Human-Centered Design (HCD) in various domains. Human-Centered Design, which prioritizes the needs, behaviors, and experiences of people throughout the design process, has transformative potential across multiple fields. Here are a few specific areas of interest:

-
Healthcare: Human-Centred Design in healthcare enhances patient care by creating intuitive and empathetic systems and environments.
-
Education: Applying HCD principles in education revolutionizes teaching methods and learning environments to cater to diverse learning styles and improve engagement.
-
Technology Development: In tech, HCD drives the creation of user-friendly products and interfaces by deeply understanding user needs and pain points.
-
Urban Planning: HCD in urban planning leads to more livable, sustainable, and responsive cities, including better public transportation and community spaces.
-
Business Strategy: Integrating HCD into business strategies results in products and services that better meet customer needs, enhancing satisfaction and loyalty.
-
Social Innovation: HCD addresses complex social issues by involving communities in the design process, creating more effective and culturally sensitive solutions.
By delving into these areas, I aim to understand how Human-Centered Design can create meaningful and lasting improvements in our daily lives, believing that continuous learning and adapting are key to staying relevant and impactful.
